As you may or may not know, we spent Thursday, Friday, and the better part of Saturday without power. The storms Thursday morning were pretty severe here. Many power lines were down and repair crews were called in from far away. On Saturday a few hours before we got power restored there was an accident three houses down the street and a man, Thomas Lansdale, was killed by a power pole his crew was moving into place. I found out today he was the father of two very young children ages three and two. We came through the storms without any real injury - lots of damage to be sure - but no real injury in Hurst until this tragedy during the recovery.
